About Dandelion

What is Dandelion?

Dandelion is the AI-native legacy planning platform for families across generations. Our AI companion, Dandie, meets you where you are—with conversations via your browser or by text—to help you build and execute the right plan for your family. From a Will, to power of attorney, to life insurance, to connecting with an estate attorney, Dandie figures out what your family actually needs and walks you through it, one step at a time.

What do I actually get?

A Dandelion Family Playbook. It's a living plan that holds your family's legal documents, the practical details nobody writes down, and the personal things you'd want to pass on. They are all stored in one place, kept current as your life changes.

Most families think they need a Will. What they really need is a plan. The Playbook is that plan.

Who is Dandelion for?

Anyone with folks they love and a plan that isn't complete, current, or communicated.

  • If you haven't started, and it's been on the list for a while.
  • If you thought through this years ago and life has changed since—new spouse, new kid, new house, new everything.
  • If you've already made a Will, but your family would have no idea where to find it, who to call, or what you actually wanted when you made it.
  • Or you're the parent trying to get this off your plate so your kids don't have to figure it out later.

Wherever you're starting, Dandie meets you there.

How Dandie Works

What does Dandie do, exactly?

Three things.

  1. Dandie gathers what you already know about. Your kids, your pets, your accounts, your partner, your parents, the people and details that make up your life.
  2. She notices the gaps. A Will with no Power of Attorney. A guardian you've never named. Insurance your family couldn't find in an emergency.
  3. She acts on what she finds. Sometimes that means creating a document with you. Sometimes it means pointing you to an estate attorney. Either way, you get a next step in plain language, not a form to figure out alone.

Is Dandie just a regular AI chatbot?

No. General-purpose AI tools are built to answer anything, which means they'll happily make something up, or misdirect you. Dandie is built specifically for legacy planning. She knows what to ask, when to guide, and when something is beyond our scope and you need an estate advisor or attorney. Her job isn't to generate answers. It's to understand your family and help you create a plan that reflects it.

Can I really just text Dandie?

Yes. You can talk to Dandie on the web or right from your text messages, wherever you are. Think of it the way you'd text a friend who happens to know this stuff cold—no app to open, no appointment to make. You can get a worry off of your mind at 10:30pm, put your phone down, and pick it back up tomorrow.

The Family Playbook

What's in a Family Playbook?

The Playbook covers three areas:

  1. Paperwork. Your legal documents. Will, Power of Attorney, ID, and all the probate bits and pieces.
  2. Practical. The operational stuff your family would need and couldn't guess. Insurance, key contacts, account information, kids' details, pets’ proclivities, and what to do if anything happens.emergency.
  3. Personal. Final wishes, and Keepsakes: messages, voice notes, recipes, anything you'd want to leave for the people you love.

Why is this a membership and not a one-time thing?

Because life doesn't stop after you sign. New baby, new house, new job, an aging parent. The plan you built for the family you were three years ago isn't the plan your family needs now. Dandie notices when something's changed, checks in on your life, and tells you what to do about it, so keeping your plan current–and complete–isn't one more thing you have to remember.

Sharing & Keyholders

Can my partner help build this with me?

Yes. You can build your Playbook solo or invite your partner in as a Co-Keyholder to create it together. The best plans are the ones the whole household actually knows about, so it isn't one person's job to remember everything.

Who can see my plan if something happened to me?

You decide. You can name Emergency Keyholders to be the trusted people who can access your Playbook if you or a co-keyholder are ever unable to. You control who has emergency access, change it as life progresses, and moderate what your Emergency Keyholders can see.

Multi-generational planning, where you organize across households with parents or adult kids, is rolling out soon.

Can Dandie create my Will and Power of Attorney?

In Colorado, yes. Dandie can help you create a legal Will and Power of Attorney as part of building your Playbook. In other states, Dandie helps you organize everything else and connects you with an estate attorney for the documents themselves. More states are on the way soon.

Are the documents actually legal?

The documents Dandelion helps you create in Colorado are attorney-designed and built on Colorado-specific law. This isn't a generic template. Anything you upload to Dandelion retains its authority and purview.

Do I need a lawyer?

Dandie will let you know how most people in your situation are best served—by attorneys, estate planners, or e-will documents—and will be honest with you about it. She'll guide you through the whole process, and if your situation is more complex—a blended family, a Trust, a business—she'll tell you, and help you find an attorney. Many parents find they don't need one for the basics. Some do. Dandie's job is to help you know which.

That said, Dandelion is not a law firm and cannot provide legal advice. We always recommend having a lawyer look over your docs.

Can I name a guardian for my kids?

Yes, and for a lot of parents this is the whole reason they're here. Your Will is where you officially name who'd raise your children if something happened to you. It's one of the most important things you can do as a parent.

Can I update my documents later?

Yes. New baby, new house—whether it’s a change of address or a change of heart about who's in charge—your plan should keep up, and Dandie helps it stay current. You can update anytime.

Trust & Security

How is my information protected?

Your family's information deserves real care and bank-level security. Dandelion uses encrypted data storage, keeps version history so every change to your plan is tracked, and follows privacy-first, CCPA-compliant practices. We don't sell your personal information. Planning for your family should never come at the expense of protecting them.
